Sow indoors, February-April. A warm kitchen windowsill is all you need for starting these seeds. Sow thinly on the surface of a small tray of pre-watered compost. Place in a warm, light position. A temperature of 15-20°C (60-68°F) is ideal. Keep the compost moist. The tray can be covered with clingfilm to preserve humidity, but remove when seedlings appear, usually in 14-28 days. Transplant them, 5cm (2") apart, to other trays when large enough to handle. Always hold by a leaf, never by the stem. Grow on in cooler, but not cold conditions. Gradually accustom young plants to outside conditions (avoid frosts), before planting out, May-June, 30cm (12") apart, into well-drained soil, when frosts are over. Flowers: June to October.

Once you have placed your order we will need to contact you to arrange a suitable delivery date & time. For this reason it is important that the contact details you provide when placing your order are correct and the best way to contact you. We aim to contact all customers within 24 hours of placing their order to arrange their delivery.

In store purchases

Products purchased in store are not eligible for our standard online delivery services and are not free if £49.99 or over. Availability of, and prices for delivery of in-store purchases will vary depending on the items purchased and store purchased from. Returns

Extended Christmas Returns

For all orders placed between 23rd October and 15th December 2025

The following is in addition to our normal returns policy. Should you change your mind about any item from this purchase you may return it, for any reason until 14th January 2025 and we will refund you the cost of the item, provided it is in a re-saleable condition.

If you discover your product to be faulty before 14th January 2025 or within the first 30 days of your purchase, whichever is later, contact us and we will be able to arrange the return of your parcel, for a full refund of your purchase cost, including initial postage price. If you send the product back to us we will also cover the cost of your return postage to the value of £10.

14 days to change your mind

Within the first 14 days of your item being delivered you may decide to return it to us for any reason. If you do we will refund the cost of the item and your initial delivery charge.

Some items are excluded from this policy, and any item returned must be in a resalable condition.

Faulty items

If you discover your product to be faulty within the first 30 days of purchase, please contact us and we will be able to arrange the return of your parcel, for a full refund of your purchase cost, including initial postage price. If you send the product back to us, we will also cover the cost of your return postage to the value of £10.
