How do I book?
Tickets can only be booked online at highwaygardencentre.co.uk
Can I book for today?
We do not take bookings through our website on the day of an event, however if there are spaces available on the day you can purchase a walk-in ticket in the garden centre building. There will not be be spaces for wallk-ins on weekends, or the 22nd, 23rd & 24th of December.
How do I get my ticket confirmation?
Your ticket confirmation will be sent to the email address you booked with, if you used PayPal this will be sent to the email address registered with your PayPal account.
Do I need to bring my ticket confirmation with me?
If you are able to print off your ticket confirmation then please do, however we will also accept a copy of it on your phone.
Do you hold quiet sessions?
We do limited quiet sessions each year. During quiet sessions, the walkthrough and grotto will be less noisy, with no flashing lights, music or sound effects. Quiet sessions will be held on Mon 1st Dec, 10am - 12pm, and Thurs 11th Dec, 4pm - 5:30pm.
Do I need to book and pay for adults?
Only children need to book to see Santa in his grotto, adults do not need to be booked for and are no extra charge. However, to keep queuing times to a minimum throughout the grotto experience we will only permit 3 adults in the grotto with each booking.
Can I bring my baby?
We have gifts suitable for all ages, the Grotto is a wonderful sensory experience for babies and the grotto is fully accessible for pushchairs and prams. Please note the grotto can get busy, particularly at weekends, we recommend booking at quieter times, or during one of our designated quiet sessions when booking for a baby. If you are bringing an older sibling to the grotto and need to bring a newborn for childcare reasons then you do not need to book for the newborn if you would not like them to receive a gift from Santa. If you would like your baby to receive a gift then you will need to book for them.
Is the event wheelchair friendly?
We have made sure we have lots of room for manoeuvrability and we welcome wheelchairs, prams and pushchairs, however in certain areas the floor may be slightly uneven. There is quite a steep slope to access the grotto, when you arrive please do speak with a member of staff who will be able to ask a friendly elf to show you to a more accessible entrance.
Can I take photos?
We would love for you to take photos on your visit! Santa is definitely not camera shy and would love to get his photo taken, we have even made a special area for your children to sit in the grotto so Santa can be seen behind the children!
Event Refunds, Cancellations & Booking Amendments

Customer cancellations or amendments

To cancel or amend a booking, email [email protected]. Requests must be received at least 72 working hours before the event start time. Requests with less than 72 working hours’ notice will not be eligible for refunds or amendments.

  • All requests must be made by the original booker using the same email address as the booking.
  • Amendments are subject to availability. Making a booking for one date/time does not guarantee entitlement to another date/time.
  • We are not responsible for consequential loss if availability changes while we assess your request.
  • Assessments may take up to 72 working hours. If the event date passes while we assess your request, no refund will be issued.

Event issues & feedback

If a ticketed event is unsatisfactory, provide feedback within 7 days of the event to [email protected]. Refunds after the event are at our sole discretion.

Event cancellations by Roys

If we cancel an event we will notify you as soon as reasonably possible and will, where applicable, advise of rescheduled dates/times (subject to availability) or similar events. If you cannot attend a rescheduled or similar event, we will provide a full refund.

Other refund conditions

  • Refunds or compensation are not available for disruption caused by circumstances beyond our control.
  • If you are refused entry (for example, due to late arrival) refunds are at our discretion.
  • If you are unable to attend an event you are not entitled to a refund.
  • Refunds will be issued to the original payment method within 7 working days.
